Saving Animals, Finding Homes & Flight Volunteers

Our History

Tails of Turkey has been created as a network to help stray animals in Turkey, and to promote animal-welfare in the cities of Turkey and beyond!

The dog and cat populations have now grown to epic proportions and a ‘neuter and release’ scheme must be put into place, coupled with funding for sick animals who either have inherent problems or who’ve been hurt in accidents.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

Tails of Turkey is a team of volunteers who are actively involved in helping shelter and stray animals. We can’t cover all regions, hence we decided to create this network to be able to help more animals in our districts and to coordinate similar campaigns in other districts of this big Country.

We’re also going to share with you important information about animal-care and pet owners experiences. We look forward to your support in spreading the word, volunteering and sponsoring homing campaign.

Why Adopt?

help decreasing number of strays
A single unspayed dog and her offspring can be responsible for the birth of more than 67,000 puppies in just six years—and just one cat and her offspring can produce more than 370,000 kittens in only seven years.
Adoption prevents pet trading

By adopting instead of buying a pet from a pet shop, you’d be helping making this business less attractive to those who trade animals lives for money.

Having pets increases happiness
Many scientific research clearly indicates that having a pet can help make us humans happier. In fact, many considers their pets as their babies.
Animals are our friends
We share this planet with these innocent souls. They are our friends. They just want to live alongside us and share this planet with us. Kindness towards them and having them with us is an act of human decency.
